This piece was created as part of my second year at university, my brief was to create a severed hand, this was cast in silicone from an alginate mould of my own hand. Cuttlefish bones were used to replicate the wrist bones and an amount of 'deadener' was used to remove the shiny silicone look. The whole piece was airbrushed with silicone pigments and a fairly realistic prop was created.
